Today’s networks should be ready to provide high-bandwidth triple play services like IPTV, VoIP and High-speed Internet Access. To meet this demand, Service provider has been deploying IP DSLAMS in locations as close as possible to customer premise area. However challenge emerged in this scenario is that there is not enough fiber access to the locations where IP DSLAM has to be installed. EtherX solution enable service provider to leverage their existing network, especially their copper infrastructure in giving enough Ethernet pipe to IP DSLAMs without costly and prolonged fiber build.
